San Diego and Mission Bay are home to a very large list of fish species to catch. Both bays are in the Southern most region of California. There is a constant tidal movement that bring fish in and out of the bays from the Pacific Ocean. Honestly one never knows what you will catch!
There is ALWAYS fish to pursue due to San Diego's year round warm climate. Whether it be a drag ripping run from the famous Bonefish, a topwater explosion from a Corvina, or a head jerking run from a Bass.
Here is a list of some more prevelant species in both bays:
BONEFISH, Barred Sand Bass, Spotted Bay Bass, Calico (kelp) Bass, Halibut, Shortfin Corvina, Spotfin Croaker, California Scorpionfish(Sculpin), Yellowfin Croaker, Lizardfish, Starry Flounder, California Needlefish, Opaleye, Corbina, Barracuda, Mullet, Bonito, Black Croaker, White Sea Bass and 6 varieties of Perch.
Incidental catches can be Black Sea Bass(released at ALL times), Striped Bass, Salmon, Jack Crevelle, Midshipman and more.
Sharks species include: Leopard, Horn, Angel, Brown Smoothhound.
Ray species include: Batray, Butterfly Ray, Shovelnose Guitarfish and many more....
On Call Adventures belives in preserving and maintaining the fishery of our San Diego bays. We practice CPR (Catch,Photograph and Release) on most species of fish except upon customers request on legal size Halibut, White Sea Bass and Sand Bass.

Remember that kids (16 and younger) fish FREE with a paying adult. Packages less then $100 include a $25 non-refundable deposit. Packages greater then $100 include a $75 non-refundable deposit. California 1 day fishing licenses can be provided for an additional $14.00 per person. If a license is required, we will contact you for additional information to obtain them.
